La Puntabella is a place suspended between the mirror of the Trasimeno Lake and the Umbra hill. Its particular geographical and historic condition protected it over the centuries from the phenomenon of wild urbanization, massive settlements and the penetration of a new poor quality. Thanks to this form of “resilience” to anthropisation, la Puntabella has remained a magical, silent, archaic and wild, human-size, place. These characteristics enchant us whenever we contemplate, leaving us inebriated by the colours and scents, the same elements that have inspired the place generated step by step in the architect’s head working on reflective sheen of back-painted glass or on the rough surface of lime plaster or glazed terracotta cladding of furniture. La Puntabella is now known as the “place to be”. More than a bar and a restaurant, the place reflects our Wabi-Sabi spirit, raw and honest, and represents the beauty intending as the compound of exciting and pleasant sensations, which make us feel more alive and in full relationship with the world around us.
